Come join Live music Fridays at the Sanctuary Restaurant in Kloof street, Gardens. If you’re a Capetonian or visiting the town and enjoy Jazz music do not hesitate to spend a Friday evening at the restaurant. This is no train smash for non-Capetonians as the restaurant is located inside The Sanctuary Hotel.

Live music Fridays features dissimilar musicians and up-coming DJs with the likes of George Sax and her significant other Sianne. The music duo enthusiastically performs at the restaurant during Live shows, on Friday evenings. 

Live music Fridays grants a beautiful night-time experience. The Sanctuary provides breath-taking sights such as mountain views, modern interior architectural style and an outdoor roof top with a swimming pool on the side. On the menu they offer pizza, salads, pasta, burgers paired with wine, cocktail, beer and other boozy drinks. When arranging to attend the show consider happy hour which starts at 4pm-7pm. The happy hour includes beer, wine and pizza.

There are two options to attend Live Music Fridays at the Sanctuary, either you buy a ticket on web tickets @ www.webtickets.co.za cost R50, entry includes a noon-gun draught beer or Ginnic cocktail or go to the restaurant without any booking, as they allow walk ins depending on the bookings of the day.

Eight-year-old Tazne Van Wyk went missing on 7th February 2020. Two weeks later she was found dead in a stormwater pipe outside Worcester. Moyhdian Pangkaeker (56-years-old) has been declared guilty of the kidnapping, rape and killing of the eight-year-old on Wednesday the 26 October 2022, in the Western Cape High Court. The accused has been convicted on 21 of 27 charges against him. The 56-year-old’s DNA was found under Tazne’s nails and many assume that she was fighting for her life. Pangkaeker was arrested on 17 February 2020 in Cradock, Eastern Cape. The 56-year-old told the police to look for his ex-wife in her back yard, she was found dead in a cardboard wrapped with a carpet.
